We are excited about the results from Amplify Austin this year. As you may know, on March 8th and 9th, the 24-hour marathon of giving generated more than $8.5 million in donations to 611 Austin area nonprofits. HousingWorks Austin received 35 contributions totaling $3,375. We are particularly pleased that 15 of those donations came from first-time donors to HousingWorks! That means we have found new support for the work we do to provide advocacy, research and educational resources to bring more affordable housing to Austin.
