HousingWorks Austin celebrated its 10-year anniversary in 2016. Our organization was founded specifically to advocate for more affordable housing opportunities in Austin. We will continue to look for more innovative ways to meet that critical need, however, we also realize that the best housing strategies are mindful of other important issues such as health, education, transportation and economic opportunity. In our 2016 booklet, we highlight the ways these issues are linked to housing and some initiatives that are in place or under consideration to help Austin area families and individuals find success in all these issues.
