Foundation Communities‘ next home for single adults, Bluebonnet Studios, appears to be on track to open in the Fall of 2016. The affordable housing community at 2301 South Lamar Boulevard will include 107 units, all of which will lease at affordable rates (less than 30% MFI).

Earlier this month, Foundation Communities treated some of its supporters to a tour of the Bluebonnet construction site, including the interior courtyard. The City of Austin pitched in $2.7 million dollars from the $65 million housing bond package voters approved in 2013. The total cost of the structure, just over $20 million.

Foundation Communities is not yet accepting applications for Bluebonnet Studios, but that is expected to begin sometime this summer.
