Health is shaped by a variety of factors, including the built environment, access to job opportunities, education, and more.* From the zoning of harmful land uses to the racial divides of congested highways and access to basic needs, the physical design of communities impacts health conditions and life expectancy. This panel will focus on solutions to move towards healthy communities, including collaborative community investment, policies to improve the social determinants of health, and innovative strategies that reshape the way we connect health to the built environment.
