Secretary Julián Castro will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) with a keynote speech at the LBJ School of Public Affairs’’ 2015 Reimagining Cities Conference on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 12:15 p.m in the LBJ Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and registration is required.

On Sept. 9, 1965, President Lyndon Johnson signed the Department of Housing and Urban Development Act, establishing HUD as a cabinet-level agency.
